Okay, so I was trying to tackle the “Bad Blood” quest in FF16. I’d heard it was a bit of a pain, so I figured I’d share my experience and what I did to finally get through it.
Getting Started
First, I made sure I was at a decent level. I think I was around level 38, maybe? It wasn’t super high, but I felt comfortable enough to give it a shot. I also stocked up on potions – like, seriously, a LOT of potions. You’re gonna need them, trust me.
The Hunt Begins
I tracked down the hunt location on the map. It’s this big, kinda creepy-looking area. I wandered around for a bit, slashing at the smaller enemies to get my Eikon abilities charged up. That’s a key thing I learned – go in with everything ready to go.
Facing the Big Bad
- When the actual target showed up, man, was it a fight. This thing hits HARD.
- I started off by unleashing all my strongest Eikon abilities. I think I used Titan’s and Garuda’s a lot. The key is to try and stagger it as quickly as possible.
- Once it was staggered, I went ALL OUT. Just hammered away with my best combos.
Dodge, Duck, Dip, Dive, and… Dodge!
The biggest thing, though, was dodging. Seriously, this enemy has some attacks that will absolutely wreck you if you’re not careful. I got pretty good at recognizing the tells – you know, the little animations before a big attack. I spent a lot of time just running around, waiting for the right moment to strike.
Potion Chugging Champion
Like I said before, potions are your best friend. I was chugging them constantly. Don’t be afraid to use them! It’s better to waste a few potions than to die and have to start all over again.
Victory at Last!
It took a few tries, honestly. I think I died maybe three or four times before I finally got the hang of it. The feeling when I finally took it down, though? Amazing! I felt like I had achieved something.
My major takeaways were get prepared for a long battle, use up all of the abilities early, and be ready to dodge and use potions. It will surely be a victory!
