Okay, so I went down a bit of a rabbit hole today, trying to figure out stuff about Roman Reigns’ brother. It started pretty randomly, I was just watching some old WWE clips, you know, and got thinking about his whole family background, the Anoa’i dynasty and all that.

Right away, the name Rosey came up a lot. Yeah, Matthew Anoa’i, who wrestled as Rosey. I remember him! He was part of that 3-Minute Warning tag team back in the day, and then later teamed up with The Hurricane. So, I clicked around a bit, reading some articles and fan wiki pages.
Digging into it
It seemed pretty straightforward at first. Okay, Rosey is his brother. They confirmed it in interviews and stuff over the years. It made sense, both being part of that famous wrestling family.
But then it got me thinking more about the whole Anoa’i family tree. It’s huge! You got The Usos, Yokozuna, Rikishi, Umaga… the list goes on. It’s easy to get wires crossed.

What I found consistently pointed to Rosey being his actual brother. Same parents, Sika Anoa’i being their dad. Sadly, I also read that Rosey passed away back in 2017, which I hadn’t realized. That was a bit of a downer during my little research project.
So, yeah, the process was basically:

2. Did a basic search for his brother.
3. Kept seeing the name Rosey (Matthew Anoa’i).
4. Confirmed through a few different sources that yes, Rosey was his biological brother.
5. Learned about Rosey’s passing during the search.
It wasn’t super complicated, but it’s interesting how intertwined that whole family is in wrestling. You start looking for one connection and end up tracing lines all over the place. Anyway, that was my little dive for the day. Confirmed: Roman Reigns’ brother was fellow wrestler Rosey.
