Okay, so, today I wanted to mess around with something I’ve been thinking about for a while – a Stellar Jade calculator. You know, for Honkai: Star Rail. I’m always running out, and I figured it would be cool to have a tool to help me figure out how much I can get my hands on.
First, I had to think about where to start. I mean, it’s not like the game just hands you Stellar Jade, right? You gotta work for it. So, I started jotting down all the ways I usually get my Jades. Daily missions, those are a no-brainer. Then there’s the Simulated Universe, events, and sometimes they just give you some as compensation when they screw up. Gotta love those apology Jades!
Next, I thought, “How am I gonna make this calculator?” I’m no coding genius, but I know my way around a spreadsheet. So, I fired up Google Sheets and started plugging in numbers. I made different sections for each source of Stellar Jade. For the daily missions, it was easy – 60 per day, multiply that by however many days you wanna calculate.
- Dailies: 60 Jades x Number of Days
- Simulated Universe: Depends on your Equilibrium level, but let’s say roughly 120-200 a week.
- Events: This one’s tricky. They’re always different, but I figured I could put in an average based on past events. Maybe around 500-1000 per event?
- Compensation: Ah, those sweet, sweet apology Jades. Usually, it is like 300 or 600 each time, depending on how big they mess up.
I spent a good chunk of the afternoon playing around with the formulas, trying to make it user-friendly. I added some drop-down menus so you could choose your Equilibrium level for the Simulated Universe and stuff like that. It was actually kind of fun, like solving a little puzzle. I also started to collect past event data, and realized that the amount varied greatly, some were generous, some were kinda stingy.
After a few hours of tinkering, I finally had something that looked decent. It wasn’t perfect, but it did the job. I could put in how many days I wanted to calculate, my Equilibrium level, an estimate for upcoming events, and boom – it gave me a rough idea of how many Stellar Jades I could expect. It felt pretty good, to be honest. Like I had cracked some secret code or something.
Then I added a section for those one-time things, like achievements and tutorials. They are easy to forget, but those jades add up! I was surprised, you can get a decent amount of Jades just from completing these achievements, just go to the achievments tab, and you know what I mean! It is like a gold mine there.
The last thing I did was make it look a bit nicer. I added some colors, changed the font, you know, just some basic styling. I even added a little picture of a Stellar Jade, just for fun. It is just a plain picture, nothing fancy, I am not good at design, you know?
So, yeah, that’s how I spent my day – building a Stellar Jade calculator. It might not be the most exciting thing in the world, but it was a fun little project, and I learned a few things along the way. Plus, now I have a handy tool to help me plan my in-game spending. No more running out of Jades at the worst possible moment!
